Shot over six years, this is a personal story of a woman whose father was the leader of Aum, the religious cult responsible for the Tokyo subway sarin attack and other crimes that shocked Japan.
After the execution of her beloved father in 2018, she continues to face discrimination in society, including being dismissed from jobs and being refused bank accounts, with its impact extending into her everyday life.
Still, she struggles to carve out her own identity and to be recognized not as “his daughter,” but as “Rika.”
