The family home becomes the place where a father spends his final days, as a mother chooses to stay by his side. The son’s camera quietly observes the transformation of a space filled with memories of a lifetime. As the end draws closer, new bonds emerge among family members and those around them. A powerful documentary directed by Hiroyasu Murakami, whose film Tokyo High Tide — a portrait of a man living alone at the Tama River — opened the 2023 GINMAKU Japanese Film Festival.
